River Mueller is an emerging Trans non-binary artist living and working on Widjabul Wia-bul land in Bundjalung Country. River primarily works with large scale acrylic paintings on canvas exploring issues surrounding social justice, gun violence, LGBTQIA+ liberation and identity, and decolonisation.
River Graduated with a Bachelor of Art and Design from Southern Cross University in 2024 and was a recipient of the Kaske award in their first year of study for their outstanding academic achievement. River was also a recipient of the 2024 Pinnacle foundation Scholarship awarded to outstanding LGBTQIA+ tertiary students across Australia.
River has exhibited in four group shows in the Lismore region and has curated three exhibitions both at Southern Cross University Lismore and the Eltham Gallery in Northern NSW.
